Nutritional Therapy
Nutritional Therapy
Nutritional therapy is designed to optimise health by improving overall diet and lifestyle. The inclusion of nutritional supplements, where appropriate, may also be suggested.
There is an increasing body of medical opinion concluding that a wide variety of conditions can be more effectively treated by dietary changes than by drugs. Foremost amongst these are:
• Digestive complaints: Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), bloating, constipation, food intolerance
• Female Health Conditions: Menopause, PMT, Fibroids, Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS)
There are many other benefits to having a consultation with a nutritional therapist, some of the most common ones include:
• Weight loss
• Increased energy
• Clearer skin
• Improved ability to deal with stress
• Better pre-and post conception care
Your Consultation
Everyone is an individual, with different lifestyles and needs. As an experienced nutritional therapist, I will help to establish the root cause of your symptoms, tailor-make a plan for you to help you achieve the very best of health possible.
A consultation will provide you with personalised nutrition advice, a dietary plan, recipe and menu ideas as well as the ongoing support and encouragement to make any changes you choose. All the advice you receive will be practical and realistic.
Prior to your first appointment, you will be asked to complete my health and wellbeing questionnaire, which takes about 15 minutes. By reviewing your past and current health concerns, lifestyle and eating habits, a full picture of your health can be obtained. The aim is to establish the root cause of your symptoms and to understand your main health goals. A tailored plan can then be agreed together. Many people benefit from a follow up consultation to monitor progress and agree any new goals.
